TIFICO Foundation

The Foundation is established on July 9, 1991. At the start the founder of Yayasan TIFICO are :

Mr. Shosaku Yasui, the late Mr. Sujudi, and Mr. Mardjono Reksodiputro.

Philosophy.

Foundation aims as stated in its Articles of Association is engage in the education, social and cultural activities in form of providing scholarships and donations useful for public welfare.

Route to a higher quality of the country human resources is through education and training. Our country needs an educated population to further its development efforts.

Who runs the Foundation

Recently Management of the Yayasan is chaired by Mr Mardjono Reksodiputro as chairman, assisted by Donny Prodjokusumo as Secretary and Keksi Heny as Treasury.

How is the Foundation financed.

At the beginning, in 1991 TIFICO as one of the TEIJIN Group Company operated commercially in Indonesia since 1976 donate Rp.1.500.000.000,- (one and a half billion Rupiah) of its earning to Foundation. After that Foundation received donation, gift, aid, inheritance of individual, company, government institution, and income gained from business activity and legal capital investment and others which are not tied.

Regular Activities

From the start each year approximately 195 students of Elementary School to students of the University received scholarship from the Foundation. The scholarship is given for a certain period of time to the bright students originate from unfortunate family. For the level of Elementary to High School, the scholarship distributed through the regional office of National Education (Diknas), University level  distributed through each University, others distributed directly to the surroundings.   

Activities in 2008

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Indonesia – Japan relationship, the Teijin Group company in Indonesia (NI Teijin Shoji, Indonesia  Teijin  DuPont Films, and TIFICO) through TIFICO Foundation donates an additional amount of scholarship to 50 students (20 students of Elementary School, 16 students of Secondary School, 8 students of High School, and 6 students of University Level). The ceremony  took place in TIFICO factory on TIFICO 32nd anniversary, and also as one of the agenda of Japan – Indonesia Expo 2008 on November 2, 2008 at Kemayoran, Jakarta.
